Abstract

Zusammenfassung Mit der Taxonomie-Verordnung und der Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive stehen den deutschen Unternehmen große Veränderungen in der Nachhaltigkeitsberichterstattung bevor. Die Gesellschaften sollten jedoch darauf achten, nicht nur den regulatorischen Vorgaben Rechnung zu tragen. Vielmehr sollte ihr Augenmerkt darauf liegen, die nötigen Daten effizient zu erheben und sie als effektive Basis für Strategie, Risikomanagement und Governance einzusetzen. Gerade den mittelständischen Unternehmen ist zu empfehlen, die entsprechenden Controlling- und Datensysteme möglichst frühzeitig zu implementieren. Diese sollten auf einer umfassenden Stakeholder-Analyse aufbauen, um so die wirklich wesentlichen Nachhaltigkeitsbereiche frühzeitig zu identifizieren und den weiteren Prozessablauf möglichst stark priorisieren zu können.
