Abstract

Zusammenfassung Misserfolg ist der Mentor des Erfolgs. Das weiß jeder Spitzensportler. Oliver Kahn, ehemaliger Nationaltorhüter, sagt in seinem Buch „DU packst es! Wie du schaffst, was du willst“ (2010) zur traumatischen Niederlage des FC Bayern München im Champions League-Finale 1999 gegen Manchester United: „Aus heutiger Sicht war [die Nacht von Barcelona] sehr wertvoll. Denn dieses Scheitern hat mir einige Dinge beigebracht, die mich stärker gemacht haben und von denen ich immer noch profitiere. Wenn mir heute etwas nicht gelingt, dann werde ich nicht unruhig oder panisch, sondern denke ganz gelassen darüber nach, was ich besser machen kann. Diese Haltung ist mir wirklich in Fleisch und Blut übergegangen.“ Was Oliver Kahn damals motivierte, nicht aufzugeben, waren seine Ziele.
