Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die Wissenschaft ventiliert und diskutiert aktuell Fragen wie: Lässt sich unser Bewusstsein auf eine Maschine übertragen? Kann es ein digitales Bewusstsein geben? Muss das Bewusstsein immer an einen Körper gekoppelt sein? Wäre eventuell sogar die Digitalisierung von Bewusstsein umsetzbar? All diese Fragen erscheinen uns momentan noch ziemlich fremd. Es gibt aber bereits in der Neurologie sowie in den interdisziplinären Forschungen zur Künstlichen Intelligenz Überlegungen und Bemühungen, das Gehirn zu kartografieren und mit Computern zu verbinden (z. B. Wolf, 4. Januar 2017; Klatt, 29. August 2020). Wäre es also vielleicht möglich, mit Künstlicher Intelligenz einen virtuellen Menschen zu schaffen, der dadurch, noch weitergedacht, möglicherweise auch einen Verstorbenen wieder präsent machen könnte? Können wir gegebenenfalls auch digital weiterexistieren, selbst wenn unser Körper nicht mehr existiert? Ist vielleicht ein Ausstieg aus der Wirklichkeit denkbar, bei dem wir dann nur noch digital existieren? Und um mit Zukunftsspekulationen noch einen Schritt weiterzugehen: Können wir letztlich mithilfe digitaler Simulation sogar eine virtuelle Welt schaffen, die der realen Welt gegenübersteht? Ist es möglich, eine digitale Kopie unserer selbst zu erzeugen? Existieren neben den realen Welten demnächst vielleicht auch digitale Welten? Lässt sich eine neue Welt mit Künstlicher Intelligenz schaffen?
