Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die Digitalisierung ist nun auch im Tourismus angekommen: bei Gästen, Gastgeber:innen und Mitarbeiter:innen. Die Branche befindet sich auf dem Weg zum intelligenten, vernetzten und digitalen Hotel und Restaurant. Die Pandemie hat die Bereitschaft, sich mit Digitalisierung im eigenen Unternehmen auseinanderzusetzen, enorm angekurbelt. Gäste gehen davon aus, dass alle Mitarbeiter:innen mit dem Thema vertraut sind und die digitalen Anwendungen im Hotel und Restaurant auch vermitteln können. Das Smartphone ist zum verpflichtenden Begleiter geworden, denn Green-Pass, Gästeregistrierung und QR-Codes sowie Social Media und jede Menge Apps gehören heute zum Arbeits-, Reise- und Urlaubsalltag. Jeder Betrieb muss individuelle digitale Lösungen finden, um auf die jeweilige Gäste- und Mitarbeiter:innen-Situation eingehen zu können.
