Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die Gesundheitswirtschaft ist in Deutschland von zunehmender Bedeutung mit hoher Innovationskraft und steht vor großen Veränderungsprozessen. Dabei spielt der Fachkräftemangel eine herausragende Rolle. Einen wichtigen Lösungsweg stellt eine neue Aufgabenverteilung in der Versorgung vor dem Hintergrund einer zunehmenden, auch akademischen Qualifizierung von Gesundheitsfachberufen dar. Das akademische Berufsbild des Physician Assistant ist in Deutschland noch relativ neu und führt durch Delegation zu einer wichtigen Entlastung im ärztlichen Team. Die rechtlichen Rahmenbedingungen und die Einsatzmöglichkeiten im stationären und zunehmend auch im ambulanten Bereich werden aufgezeigt, um die neuen Aufgabenverteilungen umzusetzen und Versorgung zukunftssicher zu gestalten.
