Abstract

Zusammenfassung Das Softwareunternehmen SAP SE setzt seit 2004 Design Thinking in verschiedenen Geschäftsbereichen ein. Die Eckpfeiler People, Process, Place und Leadership sind mittlerweile nachhaltig in der Unternehmenskultur verankert – ein Verdienst insbesondere der selbstorganisierten Community von Design Thinkern. Durch Empathie und den flexiblen Einsatz von Methoden gelang es, die Probleme der Kunden besser zu verstehen und gemeinsam Lösungen zu finden, die durch SAP SE-Technologien ermöglicht werden konnten. Design Thinking etablierte sich nicht zuletzt als Mindset bei SAP SE, weil Mitarbeitern durch die kollaborative und nutzerzentrierte Vorgehensweise ein Gefühl von Wirksamkeit und Sinnhaftigkeit gegeben wurde. Dieses Kapitel erläutert Erfahrungen und Erfolgsfaktoren der Design-Thinking-Reise von SAP SE und gibt einen Ausblick auf die Rolle von Design Thinking bei der Bewältigung der Herausforderungen der Zukunft.
