Abstract

Zusammenfassung Mit Blick auf die unterschiedlichen Beteiligtengruppen wird der Frage nachgegangen, warum ein Fehlverhalten innerhalb eines Unternehmens so lange hingenommen und vertuscht werden konnte. Der Abgasskandal beim Automobilkonzern Volkswagen in 2015 liefert ein Beispiel für die existenzielle Gefahr von Gruppendenken, das andere Meinungen als Bedrohung sieht. Als Lehre daraus ist zu ziehen, dass guter Wille und Appelle kaum ausreichen, um Derartiges zu verhindern. Probleme lassen sich offenbar nicht einfach zudecken. Sie wachsen und stoßen irgendwann durch die Decke.
