Abstract

Zusammenfassung Auf der internationalen Ebene mehren sich derzeit Diskussionen, welche eine einheitliche Konzeption für ein gelingendes Disability (Ability-)Management anstreben. Aufgrund dieser Tendenz erfolgte jüngst eine Erhebung vom Business Disability Forum (BDF), London. In der publizierten Broschüre „Global Workplace Adjustments – insights on current practice“ werden die wesentlichen Aspekte befragter internationaler Organisationen zusammengetragen. Ability-Management ist mehr als ein Führungskonzept. Der Erfolg hängt von der Einbindung aller Stakeholder durch die Übernahme von Verantwortung ab. Dafür ist es notwendig, dass sie bereit sind, normativ formulierte Werte auf betrieblicher Ebene zu leben und damit eine entsprechende fähigkeitsbasierte Organisationskultur mitzugestalten. Es muss klar sein, dass das Ausmaß der angestrebten Fähigkeiten und die Überwindung kultureller und kommunikativer Barrieren in allen Unternehmen unterschiedlich sind. Dies basiert auf der Tatsache, dass jede Organisation individuelle Besonderheiten hat, die berücksichtigt werden müssen.
