Abstract

Zusammenfassung Digitale Lösungen erhalten durch aktuelle Entwicklungen eine zunehmende Verbreitung und Relevanz. Informationen werden nicht mehr ausschließlich in physischer, sondern vermehrt auch in digitaler Form weitergegeben und genutzt, sodass die reale Welt immer mehr in einer digitalen und ggf. auch in einer virtuellen Welt abgebildet wird. Diese Entwicklung betrifft insbesondere auch verschiedenste Veranstaltungen. Die akute Nachfrage nach einer digitalen Unterstützung bedingt durch die Notlage einer Pandemie kann als große Chance begriffen werden, die Nachhaltigkeit von Events zu fördern und zu etablieren. Im Folgenden werden die Projekte und Untersuchungen „Virtuelle Veranstaltungen im Messewesen“, „IT 4 Green Events“ und „Green Meeting Know-how Box“ des Fachgebiets Informationsmanagement und Wirtschaftsinformatik (IMWI) der Universität Osnabrück zusammengefasst und deren Implikationen für ein nachhaltiges, digitales Eventmanagement vorgestellt.
