Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern sind davon überzeugt, dass man den Herausforderungen des Klimawandels nur begegnen kann, wenn sich alle daran beteiligen. Aus diesem Grund haben sie sich dazu entschlossen diesen Transformationsprozess aktiv mitzugestalten und sich ganzheitlich mit dem Thema der Nachhaltigkeit zu befassen. Während Themen wie Abfallmanagement, Nachhaltiges Catering, stromsparende Beleuchtung, soziale Nachhaltigkeit bereits aktiv angegangen und erste Aktionen erfolgreich implementiert wurden, stehen die Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern in anderen Bereichen noch am Anfang eines langen Prozesses. Der folgende Beitrag gibt einen Einblick in das Festival an sich, die Beweggründe für diesen Wandel, den Weg, aber auch die Hürden und Grenzen der Transformation bei den Festspielen Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
