Abstract

Zusammenfassung Trotz eines überdurchschnittlichen Einbruchs des Bruttoinlandsprodukts hatte Deutschland in der Finanzkrise 2008/2009 unter allen OECD-Ländern den geringsten Anstieg der Arbeitslosigkeit zu verzeichnen. Der Beitrag erläutert die Ursachen dieses „deutschen Jobwunders“ (Paul Krugman) und fragt, ob sich die Erfolgsgeschichte auf dem deutschen Arbeitsmarkt in der COVID-Rezession wiederholt.
