Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die Finanzkrise, welche oft auch den Titel „Subprimekrise“ erhielt, ereignete sich im Zeitraum 2007–2008. Der in diesem Zusammenhang vielfach verwendete Begriff der Subprimekrise ist dabei irreführend, denn dieser suggeriert, dass die Ursache der Krise in den sogenannten Subprimekrediten liegt und lenkt dadurch von einer viel tiefergehenden Problematik ab.
