Abstract

Zusammenfassung In diesem Papier wird der Versuch unternommen, für die Verkehrswende hinderliche Narrative und Denkmuster zu identifizieren, die das Verharrungsvermögen diskursiver Lock-Ins im Ruhrgebiet erklären können. Dabei wird als Fallbeispiel der gesellschaftliche Diskurs rund um den Ausbau der Fahrradinfrastruktur in der Stadt Bochum genutzt. Als Quellengrundlage dienen sowohl Medienbeiträge, die aufgrund ihrer Reichweite eine besondere Wirkungsmacht auf die Verbreitung und Festigung von Narrativen haben, als auch Dokumente aus Sitzungen relevanter Stadtratsausschüsse, bei welchen durch die Wahl der Formulierung von Anfragen, Anträgen, Beschlussvorlagen und Antworten der Verwaltung Vermutungen über vorherrschende Denkmuster, Frames und Narrative angestellt werden können.
