Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die starke Zunahme des Paketvolumens in den vergangenen Jahren stellt den innerstädtischen Verkehr vor neue Herausforderungen. Während die Anforderungen der Endnutzer an die individuelle Zustellung steigen, führen die ökologischen Folgen ebenso wie die zunehmende Verkehrsintensität zu der Notwendigkeit, alternative Transportlösungen für die letzte Meile in die Praxis zu bringen. Um den Herausforderungen, vor die sich der innerstädtische Gütertransport gestellt sieht, zu begegnen, werden gegenwärtig verschiedene Lösungsansätze technischer wie auch organisatorischer Natur diskutiert. Dieses Kapitel bietet einen Überblick über aktuelle Ansätze, umreißt grundlegende Entwicklungsrichtungen im Bereich der autonomen letzten Meile und stellt zwei Konzepte für frei umlaufende autonome und elektrisch betriebene Lieferroboter vor, die sich aktuell in der Erprobung befinden.
