Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die Zusammenarbeit zwischen Krankenhäusern und den Medizinischen Diensten ist seit jeher geprägt von Differenzen um die Qualität und Vollständigkeit der für Prüfungen zugrunde zu legenden Dokumente. Aus dem MDK-Reformgesetz resultieren erheblich gestiegene Anforderungen an einen gut funktionierenden Informationsaustausch: Zum einen ist der Schaden aus einer verlorenen Einzelfallprüfung erheblich größer als bisher, da sowohl Strafzahlungen geleistet werden müssen als auch höhere Prüfquoten aus Verlustfällen resultieren. Zum anderen ist für die neu definierten Strukturprüfungen eine Prüfung allein auf Basis übermittelter Dokumente vorgesehen. Auch hierfür bedarf es klar definierter Daten- und Übermittlungsformate, die bisher nur in wenigen Kliniken etabliert sind. Eine gut strukturierte digitale Datenhaltung und ein digitaler Datenaustausch liegen als Lösung nahe und sind sogar Gesetzesvorgabe. Kliniken und MDen werden dadurch vor neue Herausforderungen gestellt, die schnell nach systematischer Optimierung von Prozessen und IT-Strukturen verlangen.
