Der Begriff der „Wirtschaft“

Abstract

Zusammenfassung Auf den ersten Blick ist „Wirtschaft“ einfach zu verstehen: Es geht um Waren und ihre Verteilung. Schon bei einfachem Nachfragen zeigen sich allerdings Probleme mit dieser Definition: Wer bestimmt eigentlich darüber, was für wen produziert wird: nur die Kunden und Hersteller oder auch z. B. der Wirtschaftsminister oder Verbraucherschützer? Warenverteilung hat neben anderem mit Steuern und Transferleistungen zu tun – also mit Politik. Aber wie ist der Zusammenhang zwischen Politik und Wirtschaft genau zu beurteilen? Kann man „Wirtschaft“ untersuchen, ohne die Gesellschaft zu betrachten, in der sie stattfindet? Hängen Ökonomie, Recht, Politik, Soziologie und Psychologie vielleicht so eng zusammen, dass man sie gar nicht getrennt voneinander verstehen kann? Das (sehr kurze) Kapitel erläutert, dass man, um zu einem präzisen Verständnis der „Wirtschaft“ und der „Gerechtigkeit“ in ihr zu kommen, die bestehenden Wirtschaftstheorien untersuchen muss, und leitet damit über zu den folgenden Kapiteln.
