Abstract

Zusammenfassung Mit der Digitalisierung ergeben sich zahlreiche neue Möglichkeiten, das komplexe Unterfangen Supply Chain Management in die Praxis zu überführen. Die Frage der Definition und Abgrenzung des Begriffes ist der Startpunkt für die Diskussion. Anschließend werden die Herausforderungen des Supply Chain Managements erörtert, indem gemäß der 14 Dimensionen von Komplexität in logistischen Systemen und Supply Chains die Möglichkeiten der Digitalisierung herausgearbeitet werden. Den Abschluss bildet die Diskussion der Werkzeuge, Ziele und Potenziale des Digital Supply Chain Managements am Beispiel der notwendigen Transparenz zur Verhinderung von Engpässen am Beispiel des „Bullwhip-Effektes“.
