Abstract

Zusammenfassung In diesem Beitrag werden zunächst die verschiedenen Paradigmenwechsel, welche die Digitalisierung bei Versicherungen zunehmend forcieren, erläutert. Als solche Paradigmenwechsel gelten die Konsumveränderung, das Internet als Distributionskanal, das Vordringen von Unternehmen wie Google, Apple, Facebook und Amazon in bestehende Märkte sowie die Auswirkung der SARS-CoV-2 Pandemie. Daraus resultierende Chancen für Versicherungen werden anschließend anhand von branchenspezifischen Beispielen ebenso thematisiert wie Gefahren und Risiken, für die Maßnahmen zu deren Reduktion vorgeschlagen. Die für eine erfolgreiche Digitalisierung erforderlichen, größtenteils gravierenden Änderungen beziehen sich auf die Organisationsstruktur, die Mitarbeiter mit ihrem Mindset, das Eco-System der Versicherungen sowie die Versicherungsprodukte. Angesichts der Herausforderungen für das IT-Sicherheitsmanagement wird eine unternehmens- und branchenübergreifende Zusammenarbeit zur Abwehr von Cyber-Angriffen empfohlen.
