Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die Digitalisierung nimmt weiter Fahrt auf, gerade auch dort, wo es um die Herstellung von Gütern geht, in der Industrie. Digitale Zwillinge von Produkt und Produktion durchdringen immer weitere produzierende Branchen. Damit Unternehmen ihre Kräfte zur digitalen Transformation entfalten können, eröffnet Siemens mit dem Digital Enterprise noch weitere Wege: Die vertikale Integration von Informationstechnologie und operativer Technologie erschließt die großen Datenmengen der Industrie, um sie für Entscheidungen fruchtbar zu machen. Horizontale Integration entlang der Wertschöpfungskette sowie branchenspezifische Digital Threads verbinden wichtige Systeme mit der Digitalen Fabrik, um kritische Ergebnisse, die beispielsweise in Qualität, Kosten oder Lieferzeit liegen können, zu erreichen. Eine offene Architektur, ein umfassender Ansatz mit ganzheitlicher Perspektive, Dynamik und Flexibilität sind wichtige Voraussetzungen für eine erfolgreiche digitale Transformation.
