Abstract

Zusammenfassung Wie bereits dargestellt, handelt es sich bei der Tätigkeit des Honorarkonsuls nicht um einen klassischen Beruf, sondern um ein Ehrenamt. Gleichwohl stellt sich die Frage, ob die Tätigkeit eines Honorarkonsuls verfassungsrechtlich von Art. 12 Abs. 1 Grundgesetz (GG) geschützt ist, sofern es sich dabei um einen Beruf im Sinne des Grundgesetzes handelt. Dies hätte etwa dann konkrete Auswirkungen, wenn sich bspw. ein Honorarkonsul bei einem im Raum stehenden Entzug des Exequaturs auf sein Grundrecht aus Art. 12 Abs. 1 GG berufen könnte.
