Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die digitale Transformation und der Einsatz Künstlicher Intelligenz (KI) stellen traditionelle Industrien wie die Energiewirtschaft vor große Herausforderungen. Die Wertschöpfung entlang von manueller Arbeit geprägten Prozessketten zum Betreiben großer physischer Infrastrukturen erhöht die Umsetzungskomplexität werthaltiger digitaler Lösungen und erfordert zugleich einen hohen Reifegrad an digital abgebildeten Informationsflüssen (Datenqualität) und Technologien (Sensorik, Robotik). Um trotz dieser hohen Einstiegsbarrieren von den theoretischen „digitalen Potenzialen“ in die Operationalisierung der „digitalen Transformation“ zu gelangen, ist die Energiewirtschaft mehr als andere Industrien darauf angewiesen, ihr Geschäft von der Graswurzel an aufwärts, entlang von Prozessen und Informationsflüssen (Data Governance), und mit Hilfe der daraus resultierenden digitalen Automatisierungs- und Servicepotenziale (Servitization) für den Einsatz von KI vorzubereiten.
