Abstract

Zusammenfassung Künstliche Intelligenz (KI) ist eine der mächtigsten Zukunftstechnologien unserer Zeit. Viele KI-Diskussionen um Ethik und Innovationsgeschwindigkeit basieren auf der Annahme, dass die Angst vor übermächtiger KI allgemein und vor Massenarbeitslosigkeit insbesondere die KI-Entwicklung lähmt. Wir argumentieren in diesem Beitrag, dass diese „German Angst“ eher eine Kunstfigur ist, die bei den fiktionalen KI-Darstellungen ihre Heimat hat, aber in der gesellschaftlichen Realität nicht stattfindet. Menschen fürchten nicht die KI, sondern die Macht der Menschen, die sie missbrauchen könnten. Daher sollten Organisationen und Politik der grundsätzlichen Aufgeschlossenheit der Arbeitnehmer:innen Rechnung tragen und Rahmenbedingungen schaffen, die fortschrittliche Digitalisierung und Mensch in eine innovationsfreundliche, produktive Wechselwirkung bringt.
