Abstract

Zusammenfassung Der Buchbeitrag befasst sich zunächst mit der elektronischen Gesundheitskarte und stellt die Hintergründe und die Geschichte ihrer Einführung kurz dar. Am Beispiel der Diabetes mellitus Erkrankung beleuchtet der Beitrag dann, welche Chancen die noch nicht genutzten Funktionen der Gesundheitskarte vor allem aus Sicht der Patientenklientel für die Behandlungsqualität darstellen und stellt diese den Risiken gegenüber. Im Anschluss werden eine Befragung von Diabetespatienten im Rahmen einer Pilotstudie und deren wesentliches Ergebnis vorgestellt. Die Patienten wurden zu ihrer Akzeptanz gegenüber der elektronischen Gesundheitskarte und Patientenakte befragt und äußerten zu über 60 % eine positive Haltung.
