Abstract

Zusammenfassung Deutschlandweit können jährliche direkte Kosten von über 29 Milliarden Euro auf Adipositas zurückgeführt werden (Effertz et al. 2016). Dies entspricht 10,7 % der deutschen Gesundheitsausgaben und liegt damit weit über dem OECD-Durchschnitt. Zusammen mit den Niederlanden und den USA gibt Deutschland unter allen OECD-Ländern am meisten für die Behandlung der Folgen von Übergewicht aus. Laut OECD ist Adipositas Ursache für 70 % der Diabetes-Behandlungskosten, 23 % der Behandlungskosten für Herzkreislauferkrankungen und 9 % der Krebs-Behandlungskosten (OECD 2019). Das Projekt „ACHT – Adipositas Care and Health Therapy“ wurde initiiert, um ein strukturiertes, sektorenübergreifendes, interdisziplinäres und interprofessionelles, langfristig angelegtes Versorgungskonzept für Patient*innen nach metabolisch-bariatrischer Operation im Rahmen des Innovationsfonds des GB-A (01NVF18023) zu erproben und dessen Nutzen zu prüfen.
