Abstract

Zusammenfassung In den Beschreibungen der Intersystembeziehungen von Journalismus und PR ist bislang die ökonomische Funktion der Public Relations für den Journalismus systematisch ausgeblendet worden. Dies will der vorliegende Beitrag ändern, indem er die einzelnen Leistungsbündel, die PR für den Journalismus bereithält, benennt und sie einer ersten ökonomischen Betrachtung zugänglich macht. Im Zentrum stehen dabei die Thematisierungs- und zeitliche Strukturierungsfunktion, die Lieferung von Storyanlässen und Dramaturgien, lizenzfreie Co-Kreationen bei Text, Bild, Ton und Bewegtbild, Rechercheunterstützung und Co-Finanzierung von Recherchen und Reisen, das Testen von Technologieinnovationen, Komplexitätsreduktion und die Mitgestaltung der Öffentlichen Meinung.
