Abstract

Zusammenfassung Das Wesen der Arbeit hat sich, nicht zuletzt befeuert durch Covid-19, stark verändert. Zum einen ist das Arbeitsuniversum größer geworden. Zum anderen definiert sich damit einhergehend die Rolle des Corporate Office neu. Wenn plötzlich mehrere Arbeitsorte nebeneinander konkurrieren führt das zwangsläufig zu zwei entscheidenden Überlegungen: Wenn Wissensarbeit grundsätzlich von überall aus möglich ist, wozu benötigen wir dann noch ein Büro? Und wie muss sich die Immobilien- und Quartiersentwicklung transformieren, um dem anhaltenden Dezentralisierungstrend immobilienseitig gerecht zu werden? Vorab: Zukunftsszenarien, die lange als Utopie abgetan wurden, rücken in greifbare Nähe und bieten damit die einmalige Chance zu Strukturveränderungen zugunsten von Innovationskraft und Nachhaltigkeit. Eine wesentliche Ressource in diesem Prozess ist ein neuer Umgang mit Fläche.
