Abstract

Zusammenfassung Mit dem Beginn der Zwanzigerjahre dieses 21. Jahrhunderts steht die Gesellschaft nicht nur angesichts der Corona-Krise vor großen Herausforderungen: Es gilt, den Klimawandel zu meistern, die Gesellschaft in allen Lebensbereichen fit für das digitale Zeitalter zu machen und dabei die soziale Gerechtigkeit und die Bezahlbarkeit des Wohnens zu wahren. Dies wird aber nur gelingen, wenn die Balance zwischen Vernunft, Machbarkeit einerseits und den Forderungen andererseits gewahrt bleibt. Dafür brauchen die Gesellschaft und Wohnungswirtschaft eine Reihe geänderter Rahmenbedingungen. Ganz besonders sind zwei Megathemen zusammenzudenken: Klimaschutz und digitale Transformation. Das ist notwendig, um zukunftsfähige Gebäude und Quartiere zu schaffen und den aktuellen Wohnungsbestand zukunftssicher zu managen. Um es auf den Punkt zu bringen, ist Klimaschutz mit Unterstützung kluger Digitalisierung effektiver möglich und bei digitaler Transformation muss nachhaltig gewirtschaftet werden.
