Abstract

Zusammenfassung Das technische Verständnis der Bedingungen und Möglichkeiten des Einsatzes von APIs bildet die Grundlage für die Darstellung der ökonomischen Chancen, die sich aus dem Einsatz von APIs für Unternehmen ergeben. Als Bindeglieder digitaler Bausteine ermöglichen APIs den Austausch von Daten und Services zwischen unterschiedlichen Software-Applikationen. Das macht APIs zum prädestinierten Einsatzinstrument für die Öffnung von unternehmerischen IT-Landschaften nach innen und nach außen.
