Abstract

Zusammenfassung Zahlreiche Hindernisse und Hürden sind aus dem Weg zu räumen, bevor Unternehmen von den Vorteilen des Einsatzes der APIs profitieren können. Manager und IT-Verantwortliche sollten sich daher – bevor die eigentliche Transformation beginnt – auf ein gemeinsames Verständnis der Bedeutung der API-TransformationAPITransformation („Why?“) und eine gemeinsame Analyse der aktuellen Ausgangssituation verständigen. Gelingt dies, können anschließend die richtigen Maßnahmen und Strategien für die Umsetzung einer erfolgreichen API-Transformation geplant werden. Die gute Nachricht lautet: Gelingt diese API-Transformation, dann wurde damit der Grundstein gelegt für alle weiteren Schritte entlang der digitalen Transformation.
