Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die Planung und Durchführung der ersten Schritte auf dem Weg der API-Transformation sind von zentraler Bedeutung für den Erfolg der digitalen TransformationDigitalTransformation eines Unternehmens. Dazu gehören unter anderem die Auswahl der ersten APIs, mit denen das Unternehmen startet, die Anpassung der Organisationsstruktur an die Herausforderungen der Softwareentwicklung und die Schaffung der passenden Teams, die das Thema API im Unternehmen voranbringen. Gelingen diese ersten Schritte, dann können andere Abteilungen innerhalb des Unternehmens von diesen Erfolgen profitieren und ihrerseits die API-fizierung der eigenen Arbeitsprozesse vorantreiben. So wandelt sich das Unternehmen Schritt für Schritt in Richtung eines vollwertigen Mitglieds der API Economy.
