Abstract

Zusammenfassung Deutschland als Exportweltmeister mit global agierenden Konzernen, Hidden Champions und einem breiten Mittelstand hat in den letzten beiden Jahrzenten dafür gesorgt, dass die Logistik als sehr allumfassende, breite Branche überdurchschnittlich gewachsen ist. Speziell die Transportlogistik steht dabei im Fokus. Dieses Wachstum hat neben vielen positiven Effekten auch einige Herausforderungen für den stark heterogenen Transportmarkt geschaffen, welche es zu bewältigen gilt. Beispielhaft stehen dafür: Bedingte Innovationsfähigkeit der Logistik Mangelnde Ressourcen Hoher Liquiditätsbedarf Dies stellt die Unternehmen vor enorme Herausforderungen. In den vergangenen Jahrzenten war das Mittel der Wahl die Optimierung der operativen logistischen Prozesse. Dank Digitalisierung stehen den Akteuren nun auch Mittel und Möglichkeiten zur Verfügung, Bereiche und Prozesse optimieren zu können, die bis dato kaum oder kein Optimierungspotenzial versprachen, wie beispielsweise die Abrechnung.
