Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die Welt der Logistik ändert sich aufgrund einer Reihe wirkender Trends und Entwicklungen aus dem Umfeld. Veränderungen vollziehen sich dadurch, dass sowohl Bedarf als auch die technischen Möglichkeiten zunehmen, um Versorgungsketten transparenter zu machen. Ein festzustellender Güterstruktureffekt und die Möglichkeiten, entlang logistischer Ketten deutlich datengetriebener zu steuern und zu planen, tragen zusätzlich zu Weiterentwicklungen der Logistik wie wir sie kennen bei. Für solche Entwicklungen gibt es nicht nur belastbare Indizien, sondern es sind bereits Auswirkungen sichtbar. Zum einen kommen neue Logistikunternehmen und Start-ups auf, die Innovationen und Geschäftsideen entwickeln, die auf die wirkenden Trends und die neuen Möglichkeiten reagieren und Logistik aus der Perspektive der Welt der Daten denken. Zum anderen nimmt die Auseinandersetzung mit der Welt der Daten auch auf Seiten etablierter Logistikunternehmen spürbar zu. Diese Entwicklungen bringen etwas hervor, das vielleicht als „Neue Logistik“ bezeichnet werden kann. Der Beitrag bietet einen Aufschlag für eine Fassung der Neuen Logistik und versucht greifbar zu machen, worum es sich dabei konkret handelt.
