Abstract

Human beings do not live or work in isolation because cooperation often pays. For economics (and social sciences beyond economics) cooperation is a central concern. While cooperation between individuals is a micro phenomenon, economics is also interested in the consequences for macro phenomena: prices, distribution of income, inflation etc. This is the topic of both microand macroeconomics.
