Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die Ergebnisse der oben angestellten Überlegungen werden zusammengefasst. Die vom Verfasser vorgelegten Vorschläge zum Instrument der Ausgleichsforderungen, zur möglichen Verhinderung massiver Kapitalströme bei sich abzeichnendem drohendem Austritt eines Landes aus einer Währungsunion, sowie zur Überlegung einer Steuerung des Geldmarktzinses allein über den Bedarf an Arbeitsguthaben für den Zahlungsverkehr werden noch einmal aufgegriffen. Unterstrichen wird die überragende volkswirtschaftliche und geldpolitische Bedeutung eines stabilen und effizienten Zahlungsverkehrs, die Anlass sein sollte, weitere Aspekte des Zahlungsverkehrs in Studien und akademischen Diskussionen zu thematisieren.
