Abstract

Zusammenfassung Das Zusammenspiel zwischen dem Buchgeld der Banken und der Zentralbank, deren Kreisläufe ja getrennt sind, wird diskutiert. Die Sonderrolle des Staates als zugelassener Kontoinhaber wird herausgearbeitet. Die indirekte monetäre Staatsfinanzierung durch Anleiheankäufe des Eurosystems wird thematisiert, ebenso das Konzept des Helikoptergelds. Eingehender behandelt wird das Instrument der Ausgleichsforderungen als Bilanzhilfe im Fall einer Finanz- und Bankenkrise. Diskutiert werden zudem innovative, digitale bzw. tokenbasierte Bezahlformen zwischen Nichtbanken, sowie der sog. Geldschöpfungsmultiplikator. Zudem werden Inkonsistenzen in der aktuellen Politik des Eurosystems angesprochen. Es wird ein Zwischenfazit gezogen.
