Abstract

Zusammenfassung Der Beitrag zeigt am Beispiel Connewitz, einem linksalternativ geprägten Stadtteil Leipzigs, wie eine bürger- und sozialraumorientierte Polizeiarbeit gestaltet werden kann. Dabei wird die in den letzten Jahren verfestigte Konfliktkonstellation zwischen Polizei und polizeikritischen Bürgern rekonstruiert und gezeigt, wie die Prozesse der gegenseitigen Dämonisierung, verstärkt durch die Medien, die regionale und bundesweite Politik, in eine kommunikative Sackgasse führen, die die gerade in Leipzig gegebenen Möglichkeiten des Dialogs blockieren. Aufbauend auf dieser Analyse werden konkrete Möglichkeiten eines Bürgerdialogs mit dem Ziel der Deeskalation und Pazifizierung gerade des Demonstrationsgeschehens dargestellt.
