Abstract

Zusammenfassung Der technologische Fortschritt sorgt für eine Umgestaltung des Service Sektors digitalen und virtuellen Charakters. Diese Umgestaltung ist substanziell und tief greifend. Neue Technologien wie Spracherkennung, künstliche Intelligenz, maschinelles Lernen, selbstlernende Roboter und Drohnen sowie Blockchains sind nur einige der Schlagworte, deren Wirkung auf bestehende Geschäftsmodelle und Prozesse noch gar nicht abzusehen sind. Solche Technologien führen zu teils radikalen Veränderungen, die ganze Unternehmen – aber auch Individuen, wie deren Mitarbeiter oder Kunden, betreffen. Nicht nur bestehende Geschäftsmodelle und Prozesse werden tangiert; es lassen sich auch zunehmend völlig neue Dienstleistungsangebote realisieren (Gentsch, 2019) und sie werden vom Markt gefordert.
