Abstract

Zusammenfassung Betrachtet man Geschäftsmodelle, wie den sehr erfolgreichen Online-Marktplatz von Alibaba, die Peer-to-Peer-Plattform von Airbnb oder das Low-Cost-Carrier-Modell von Ryanair, wird deutlich, dass disruptive Veränderungen branchenübergreifend und auch in bisher etablierten Branchen auftreten (Christensen et al., 2018). Da diese Entwicklungen mit steigendem Tempo und Häufigkeit beobachtbar sind, sprechen Wissenschaftler mittlerweile von einer Ära der „continual disruption“ [deutsch: kontinuierliche Disruption] (Kumaraswamy et al., 2018).
