Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die Polizei kommt typischerweise dann in Kontakt mit einer psychisch auffälligen Person, wenn diese den Scheitelpunkt einer akuten Krise erreicht hat und dann besonders hilfsbedürftig, aber häufig auch problematisch in ihrem Verhalten ist. Bei einigen psychischen Störungsbildern, vor allem bei suchtkranken, paranoid schizophrenen und psychopathischen Personen kann das auffällige Verhalten bis zur Gewalttätigkeit gehen. Die Gefährlichkeit zeigt sich vor allem in bestimmten Konstellationen, die man als Polizist*in mitgestaltet. Für die Polizei kommt es deshalb darauf an, Begegnungen mit psychisch auffälligen Personen aufmerksam, auf Eigensicherung bedacht, kommunikativ und taktisch geschickt, kurz einsatzkompetent anzugehen und dabei spezifische, in diesem Beitrag dargestellte Verhaltensempfehlungen zu berücksichtigen.
