Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die Rahmenbedingungen für Führung und damit auch die Aufgabe Führung haben sich in der Vergangenheit gewandelt und werden sich auch in Zukunft weiter wandeln. Die Zukunft unterscheidet sich aber von der Vergangenheit dadurch, dass wir sie definitiv nicht kennen. Einigermaßen zuverlässige Voraussagen sind in unserer Zeit des extrem schnellen Wandels bestenfalls für ein paar Jahre möglich. Es gibt aber ein paar Trends in der Entwicklung von Führungsarbeit, bei denen davon auszugehen ist, dass sie auf absehbare Zeit bestehen bleiben werden: die Zunahme der Komplexität unserer wirtschaftlichen Prozesse, die zunehmende Bedeutung der Informationstechnik und Automatisierung und der Rollenwandel der Mitarbeiter vom Befehlsempfänger zum Mitentscheider.
