Abstract

Zusammenfassung Das Kapitel gibt einen Überblick zu den strategischen Entwicklungen der Digitalisierung der Hochschulbildung in China sowie den daraus resultierenden Auswirkungen für die Wirtschaft. Im Jahr 1978 erkannte China die Kraft der Bildung als Treiber des wirtschaftlichen Erfolgs des Landes. Seither wird in der „Education First“-Politik die Entwicklung der Hochschulbildung in staatlichen Strategien priorisiert und im Kontext zur wirtschaftlichen Weiterentwicklung modernisiert. Die Digitalisierung der Hochschulbildung in China hat ihre strategischen Schwerpunkte in der Lehre, der Infrastruktur sowie der Lehrplanentwicklung. Ziel dabei ist es, die chinesische Gesellschaft, Wirtschaft und die technologische Weiterentwicklung voranzubringen. Die vorhandenen Initiativen zur Digitalisierung der Hochschulbildung bieten einen Anhaltspunkt zur Einordnung der Auswirkungen der strategischen Bildungsentwicklung und der daraus resultierenden wirtschaftlichen und gesellschaftlichen Zukunft Chinas.
