Der ökonomische Nutzen überlappender Anästhesieeinleitung

Abstract

Zusammenfassung Mit „überlappender“ Anästhesieeinleitung wird eine Variante der anästhesiologischen Prozesse bezeichnet, bei der die Vorbereitung und die Einleitung der für eine Operation notwendigen Anästhesie bereits parallel zur noch laufenden vorherigen Operation und Anästhesieausleitung erfolgen. Mittels auf Realdaten basierenden Modellrechnungen lässt sich feststellen, dass überlappende Anästhesieeinleitungen weitgehend unabhängig von der Art der betrachteten Operationen im Vergleich zu seriellen Anästhesieprozessen zu Mehrerlösen führen, welche die zusätzlich anfallenden Kosten übersteigen, solange die zwischen zwei Operationen anfallenden, durch andere, nichtanästhesiologische Prozesse verursachten Leerzeiten kurz genug gehalten werden können. Als Grenzwert für solche Leerzeiten kann in Abhängigkeit von den konkreten Personalkosten eine Größenordnung im Bereich von etwa 18–23 min angenommen werden.
