Abstract

Im Mittelpunkt steht die Frage, welche theoretischen Grundlagen für die Beratung im Controlling infrage kommen. Dabei werden sowohl Ansätze zur Problemdiagnose und -beschreibung („Objekttheorien“) als auch solche für das praktische Beratungshandeln („operative Theorien“) diskutiert. Es zeigt sich, dass in Anbetracht der Heterogenität der Rollenerwartungen die Konzipierung eines spezifischen Beratungsansatzes im Controlling eine große Herausforderung darstellt. Dabei gilt es allerdings, sich von vereinfachenden Konzeptionen – oftmals auf der Basis von allgemeinen Kommunikationsmodellen – abzugrenzen. Der vorliegende Artikel möchte einen wissenschaftsbasierten Dialog mit Controllern und Führungskräften über die Charakteristika einer für beide Seiten nachhaltigen Beratungsdienstleistung anregen, ganz im Sinne eines „work in progress“.
