Abstract

Zusammenfassung Das derzeitige Wirtschafts- und Konsummodell der Industrieländer stößt an die Grenzen des Wachstums, denn es erzeugt diverse globale ökologische und soziale Herausforderungen. Eine Transformation des Konsums in eine nachhaltige Richtung kann nicht durch Maßnahmen der Effizienz allein erreicht werden. Die Strategie der Suffizienz hat eine absolute Senkung des Energie- und Ressourcenverbrauchs zum Ziel und setzt beim Verhalten der Konsumierenden an.
