Abstract

Zusammenfassung Corporate Venture Capital (CVC) ist als Finanzierungsinstrument seit über zwei Jahrzehnten bekannt, hat sich aber seit 2015 in der DACH-Region besonders dynamisch entwickelt. Fast alle Konzerne und große Mittelständler setzen auf die Zusammenarbeit mit jungen Unternehmen mit digitalen oder disruptiven Geschäftsmodellen und treten hierbei zunehmend als Investor auf. Diese CVC-Einheiten verbinden strategische Ziele mit Renditezielen und stellen ihren jungen Partner- bzw. Portfoliounternehmen zusätzliche Ressourcen zur Verfügung. Aus Sicht der jungen Unternehmens mit Kapitalbedarf beinhaltet dieses Angebot zusätzliche Chancen, wie z. B. bei einem beschleunigten Kunden- oder Marktzugang, erfordert jedoch auch Transparenz und klare Kommunikation über die Arbeitsweise und die Ziele in dieser besonderen Partnerschaft. Erfahrenen CVC-Gesellschaften gelingt es zunehmend, die Erfahrung und die Marktpräsenz von Konzernen mit der Innovationsdynamik und Geschwindigkeit von jungen Unternehmen zu kombinieren und hierbei für beide Seiten Erfolgsgeschichten zu schreiben.
