Abstract

Zusammenfassung Das Kapitel soll Gründern einen Einblick in die Finanzierung durch „Venture Capital“ geben, und zeigen, wie es sich von anderen Finanzierungsformen abgrenzt. Ziele und Prozesse von Venture Capital-Investoren werden dargestellt. Es wird erklärt, für welches Unternehmen in welchem Stadium eine Venture Capital-Finanzierung sinnvoll ist und wie die Kontaktaufnahme und Zusammenarbeit mit einem Venture Capital Investor erfolgreich gestaltet werden kann. Dabei werden die verschiedenen Investmentstrategien berücksichtigt. Zudem werden die entscheidenden Phasen des Venture Capitals-Investmentprozesses (Pre-Investment-, Portfolio-, und Exit-Phase) dargestellt. Zum Abschluss wird anhand des Venture Capital-Investors TVM Capital ein konkretes Fallbeispiel aus dem Bereich Life Science-Venture Capital besprochen.
