Abstract

Zusammenfassung „People Power“ ist das Motto für das digitale Fundraising Ökosystem. People Power ist aber nichts Neues. Power to the people sang schon John Lennon 1971. Und nicht nur er. In den 60ern und in den frühen 70ern war der Ruf nach mehr politischem Empowerment und weniger staatlicher Kontrolle Teil der Populärkultur der USA. Der Ruf nach mehr „power to the people“ ist also ein politischer – einer, der Massen bewegen soll. Und es ist ein Ausdruck der Rebellion – auch gegen das herrschende Establishment und damit in letzter Konsequenz auch gegen die älteren Generationen (Harvers 2020). Dieser rebellische Geist existiert auch heute noch – in Bezug auf die Lead Communitiy.
