Abstract

Zusammenfassung Seit 2015 verfolgt die EU-Kommission konsequent das Ziel, nachhaltige Investitionen zu fördern und hierdurch die Auswirkungen des Klimawandels zu begrenzen. Zu diesem Zweck hat sie ambitionierte regulatorische Initiativen auf den Weg gebracht. Dem Finanzsystem kommt hierbei eine Schlüsselrolle zu. Die Einrichtungen der betrieblichen Altersversorgung (EbAV) sind Teil des Finanzsystems, daher stehen auch sie im Fokus. Im Kern geht es um ein gut in die Geschäftsorganisation eingebettetes Anlagerisikomanagement, das Nachhaltigkeitsrisiken angemessen Rechnung trägt. Darüber hinaus müssen auch EbAV nachhaltigkeitsbezogenen Offenlegungspflichten nachkommen. Die BaFin wirkt mit ihren Aufsichtsschwerpunkten darauf hin, dass EbAV angemessene Prozesse zum Umgang mit Nachhaltigkeitsrisiken sowie zur Offenlegung einrichten. Hierbei berücksichtigt sie relevante Positionierungen der Europäischen Aufsichtsbehörde für das Versicherungswesen und die betriebliche Altersversorgung EIOPA. Eine nachhaltigere Strategie eröffnet Chancen, sie ist aber auch mit Herausforderungen verbunden.
