Abstract

Zusammenfassung Auf der Basis der im vorangegangenen Kapitel eingeführten makroökonomischen Prinzipien wird verständlich, weshalb Märkte alleine nicht in der Lage sind, die tiefen Einkommen und die niedrige Produktivität in Entwicklungsländern zu steigern. Um die Wachstumsbedingungen zu verbessern, braucht es eine aktive Wirtschaftspolitik mit öffentlichen Investitionen. Die Argumente des ökonomischen Mainstreams gegen eine solche Politik sind analytisch wenig fundiert, wie in diesem Kapitel erklärt wird.
