Abstract

Zusammenfassung Im Spektrum der praxisorientierten Hochschullehre sind Fachexkursionen ein wichtiges Instrument, um die Brücke zwischen Theorie und Praxis zu schlagen. Die didaktische Grundlage dafür bietet das erfahrungsbasierte Lernen, welches den Aufbau von Fähigkeiten fördert und eine neue Einstellung bzw. eine neue Form des Denkens ermöglicht. Auch im Wettbewerb der Bildungsinstitutionen können Fachexkursionen Hochschulen helfen, ihr individuelles Profil zu schärfen. Dennoch ist die Durchführung dieser Fachexkursionen in der Hochschullandschaft noch nicht sehr etabliert – insbesondere im Falle von Fachexkursionen ins Ausland. Internationale Exkursionen scheitern oft am finanziellen Mehraufwand, dem hohen Vorbereitungsbedarf oder einer unzureichenden Auswahl an Praxispartnern. Der vorliegende Beitrag stellt den Mehrwert von Fachexkursionen als praxisorientiertes Lernkonzept dar und stellt das erfahrungsbasierte Lernen als Basis des Theorie-Praxis-Transfers vor.
